Blockshipping appoints Mogens G. Hansen as new CEO

Blockshipping announced today that Mogens G. Hansen has been appointed as the new CEO of the company. As an experienced business leader, Mogens will succeed outgoing CEO Peter Ludvigsen and assume responsibilities on the 1st of August 2021.

Peter, who is the CEO and Founder of Blockshipping, will assume the role of Chairman of the Board and focus on business development and new AI and Machine Learning products going forward.

​

This change aims to strengthen the company in preparation for its next phase - growing the adoption of its AI and Machine Learning products, and development of new services.

Blockshipping looks to solve terminal re-stacking problem with AI

In an interview with the Journal of Commerce, our CEO Peter Ludvigsen and CCO Michael Nielsen are talking about how Blockshipping is working with ports in Europe to reduce more than 30% of shuffle moves by using AI.

While congestions continue to impact the global supply chain, Blockshipping provides AI-powered predictions of dwell time, allowing terminals to increase stacking heights and handle more containers without an increase in shuffle moves.

In connection with our expansion, we just received the keys to our new offices, and we are excited that just like innovation is at the heart of Blockshipping, so are our new offices, that are located at the center of the Danish Technical University close to Copenhagen where we invite all customers and partners to visit us.
