Blockshipping announced today that Mogens G. Hansen has been appointed as the new CEO of the company. As an experienced business leader, Mogens will succeed outgoing CEO Peter Ludvigsen and assume responsibilities on the 1st of August 2021.
Peter, who is the CEO and Founder of Blockshipping, will assume the role of Chairman of the Board and focus on business development and new AI and Machine Learning products going forward.
Mogens G. Hansen joins Blockshipping after a long career in container management and operations, including hands-on experience at C-level positions at several shipping, logistics and high-growth technology companies. Mogens brings extensive experience in customer relations, commercial executions and investor management. Mogens will be responsible for taking Blockshipping to the next level as the premier AI and Machine Learning software company for container terminals and their customers.

Mogens G. Hansen has 30+ years of experience in operational management and execution in the shipping and ports industry. He was most recently COO of Modstrøm where Mogens led the transition from an energy company to a leading provider of green energy solutions. This required developing an initial product strategy, R&D roadmap, supporting business plan and the development of IT systems.
